The Freehand Writers Group now meets twice a month.

    Second Thursday of the month
We meet in Oxford every second Thursday of the month at the Opera Cafe on Walton Street, 6-8pm.
Everyone is welcome.
This class is about critiquing each other's work and pieces usually get circulated in advance for people to read.
Any style of writing is accepted. Join us!

Last Friday of the month

In addition we meet the last Friday of the month. This group meets at the Albion Beatnik Store, also on Walton Street, 7-9pm. At this meeting, instead of critiquing work (as on a Thursday), we focus more on literary debate and discussion, the art of writing and "chasing that elusive Gestalt". Join the Facebook group for more info.

If you'd like to come along to either meeting, feel free to just turn up to the next group meeting or fill in the Contact Us form if you would like to be added to the group mailing list in advance. We use the mailing list to disseminate the members' writing that is up for critiquing in the next meeting as well as to share interesting writing-related info, plus have debate and discussion!
